rVAS is a general-purpose Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) app for research. It is not limited to any specific research field and allows you to freely configure projects, conditions, and VAS items and conduct studies on iPad.

Flexible experiment design
Configure multiple conditions and stimuli, multiple VAS items, and the number of repetitions for each condition.
Presentation order management
Design the presentation order of conditions and VAS items, and generate a randomized order automatically.
Freehand VAS response
Respond by drawing a line with a finger or stylus, using a scale calibrated to a true physical length of 10 cm.
Export in XLSX format
Export results across multiple participants, conditions, and VAS items together in XLSX format.
Subject information fields
Configure the input fields used to record subject information.
Works offline
Can be used without an internet connection.
On-device storage
Research data is stored only on your device, in principle.

How It Works

- Respond to the VAS — The participant responds to the VAS on iPad.
- Check the results — Review the recorded response values.
